Dubbo Hospital Imaging Rooms

Linear lighting solution with outstanding color rendering index (CRI95)

A major transformation of Dubbo Hospital by the NSW Government will provide expanded and upgraded clinical services to the people of Western NSW. The imaging areas within the hospital required lighting that was flexible and had scene-setting capabilities to suit the procedure taking place – MRI, X-Ray, CT scans or ultrasound. Working with Jacobs Engineering and Star Electrical, the solution from Austube was a custom circular linear fitting, featuring a unique rotatable end bracket that allows 330-degree rotation whilst also acting as a cable reticulation system for incoming lighting feeds. The units employ linear LED boards with an excellent colour rendering index (CRI95), which ensure they portray skin tones and colours realistically and naturally – a key attribute in a healthcare setting.
